Dr. Abhay Sharma opted to turn his passion for imaging into a Physics Ph.D. from the University of London, England. He joined a Kodak-funded research program to study astronomical images recorded by optical telescopes onto that company’s photographic glass plates. He spent some time with Fujifilm before finding his way to a professorship in the United States and became heavily involved with the ICC. In 2005, Dr. Sharma took over as chair of Ryerson University’s School of Graphic Communications Management (GCM) a program dedicated to the printing industry. He received a grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), through the Michigan Space Grant Consortium, to work with a team on true colour imagery of our solar system. |
