Aaron Knights is a member of the Firm’s litigation practice group. He represents clients in litigation matters at the state and federal level, as well as in private arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Knights has handled a wide variety of litigation matters, including intellectual property, business ventures, fraud, employment disputes, government contracts, securities transactions and products liability. Mr. Knights also has extensive experience handling litigation on behalf of insurance companies, including coverage disputes, professional malpractice, premises liability and negligence.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Knights practiced with the law firm of Garvey Schubert Barer in their litigation practice group. In addition, Mr. Knights served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Rufus G. King, III, Chief Judge of the District of Columbia Superior Court where he gained valuable, behind-the-scenes experience in one of the busiest trial courts in the United States. As Law Clerk, he assisted the Chief Judge with matters relating to court policy, as well as civil and criminal litigation issues.
Mr. Knights earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2002. Prior to law school, Mr. Knights graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, cum laude in 1999, where he was Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Knights is a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Florida Bars. In addition, Mr. Knights is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Districts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.
