Professor Ciechanover is a Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry (2004) and a recipient of the prestigious Lasker Award (2000) for the discovery and recognition of the significance of the ubiquitin system of regulated protein degradation. Professor Ciechanover is the director of the Rappaport Family Institute for Research in the medical sciences and professor of biochemistry at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. |
