Aamir Farid joined Shell in 1978 after graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He began his 30 year career with Shell at Deer Park, with early roles in technical support, refinery planning and optimisation, and operations. He then moved on to hold a variety of manufacturing leadership assignments including: Process Unit and Health and Safety Manager at the Wilmington and Wood River refineries, Vice President Production at the Deer Park Refinery, Director Reliability & Maintenance in Shell's regional US organisation, and General Manager Bay Valley Complex (Martinez and Bakersfield) before assuming his current role in September 2006 as General Manager of the Deer Park Site. Aamir is married with two daughters. |
