As the program manager for the Advanced Information Technology Services (AITS) contract, Don Edwards manages SRA’s work as the single systems integrator providing enterprise-wide technology services to the National Guard Bureau Chief Information Officer and the Reserve Component.
Before joining SRA, Edwards worked for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he managed IT programs for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). His experience included a homeland defense assessment for the National Guard Bureau. He retired from the U.S. Army after a 38-year career, including 16 years as Vermont’s Adjutant General. In that position, he founded the Army National Guard’s Mountain Warfare School, directed the installation of the Reserve Component Automation System in the Vermont National Guard, and managed complex Army National Guard projects using advanced IT capabilities. He has also served as Vice President of the National Guard Association of the U.S.
